On-site through our partnerships with colleges

We have started a certificate and Diploma course in affiliation with
"Suguna Spark Business School, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu"; from next academic year (June 2011).

Direct Marketing constitutes the DDM curriculum. While the PG Diploma programme is conducted in the SSBS campus, it is conducted in the City Centre for the benefit of students of other B Schools and working professionals.
The course of Diploma is delivered in 30 sessions of 90 minutes each during a period of six months.
 
Apart from classroom teaching the course will involve completion of on-the-field projects. 
 
On successful completion of the programme, candidates will receive a joint Diploma under the seals of SSBS and DMAI.
 
 
We are registered as a Public Limited Company (PLC) under the Indian Companies Act.
 
We have been adjudged as a non-profit Organisation under section 25 of the Act.
 
Our Members include National and International firms engaged in various activities of Direct Marketing.
 
Our Advisory Board comprises of National & International Professionals and Industry Experts

We act as the forum to interact with other DMAi members. We answer your DM related queries (e.g. introducing you to DM Agencies / Consultants / List owners / Letter Shoppers /
Vendors).

Members are featured on the Newsletters of the DMAi which goes out to approximately 2000+ double opt- in Subscribers every month.

DMAi is the owner of an Direct Marketing Content under the name and mark “Direct Marketing: Concepts and Practices”, and engaged in the business of marketing its content to academic institutions directly and through its licensed partner network in a geographical territory to promote, market and sell, manage and execute the “Direct Marketing: Concepts and Practices” products.

DMAi has developed and continues to develop / modify the Course, including various trade secrets and other confidential information, and in some cases also includes marketing techniques and has maintained high standards of quality education in the Content, as a result of which the Content has acquired valuable goodwill and a favourable reputation.

Objective The Institute and DMAi will work together to make the DMCP offline courses certification programs, that are bundled from the DMAi, available in their regional territory. DMAi is an advanced stage of negotiations with an Overseas DMA for providing Online DM Courses; the same could be also made available to the Institute.

Term This arrangement shall remain in force for three years and can be terminated by either party giving one months notice in writing to the other party, however there will be a lock in period of one Academic Year.

Relationship For the purposes of this arrangement, both the Parties are entering into a distribution and revenue sharing arrangement whereby the Institute will be distributing DMAi Education programs in return for a share of the revenue generated.

Intellectual Property All intellectual property in the name and title of DMCP remains with the DMAi and the Institute agrees not to use the Program or its content for any purpose without the express written permission of the DMAi.

Intellectual property rights of “Direct Marketing: Concepts and Practices”. is owned by DMAi and will remain with them. The “Institute” agrees to honour and protect the rights of DMAi at all times in accordance with the applicable laws, National and International.

This arrangement is limited to providing “Direct Marketing: Concepts and Practices”,
implementation and execution of the Content, to the students studying at the “Institute”, in

Introduction to DM Courses to Partner Institutes

the following three offline Programmes.

Certificate in Direct Marketing (A)

This Certificate programme is meant for Institute students who specialise in Marketing Management and consists of a single course on Direct Marketing to be delivered in 35 sessions of 90 minutes each. Apart from classroom teaching, the course will involve completion of on--‐the--‐field project/s by the students. The programme will be incorporated in the Institute curriculum and be offered as a core course for all Institute students who register for Marketing Management specialisation.

The curriculum, delivery system, and evaluation system of this course will be decided jointly by Institute and DMAi. The course delivery and evaluation will be taken up by Institute. DMAi may arrange for one or two experience--‐sharing session/s by industry stalwarts. On successful completion of the programme, students will receive a joint Certificate under the seals of Institute and DMAi.

Diploma in Direct Marketing (A)

This Diploma programme is meant for Institute students who would like to register for Direct Marketing as a Sector Elective. A pre--‐requisite for taking up this Diploma programme is completion of Certificate in Direct Marketing programme. The Diploma shall have 4 courses to be delivered in 30 sessions of 90 minutes each in either IV or V Trimester. Approximate duration of each Trimester is 12 weeks. Apart from classroom teaching the course will involve completion of on--‐the--‐field projects. The programme will be incorporated in the Institute curriculum and be offered as a Sector Elective Group to Institute students.

The curriculum, delivery system, and evaluation system of this course will be decided jointly by Institute and DMAi. The course delivery and evaluation will be taken up by Institute. DMAi may arrange for experience--‐sharing sessions by industry stalwarts. On successful completion of the programme, students will receive a joint Diploma under the seals of Institute and DMAi.

Diploma in Direct Marketing (B)

This Diploma programme is meant for students of other B Schools and working professionals in the region. The curriculum structure and evaluation of this programme is the same as that of the Diploma in Direct Marketing programme (A). The Diploma shall have 4 courses to be delivered in 30 sessions of 90 minutes each. The duration of this programme (B) shall be 6 months. In order to facilitate more number of candidates to pursue, Institute will conduct this programme (B) in its city centre located inside the main city. Apart from classroom teaching the course will involve completion of on--‐the--‐field projects.

The curriculum, delivery system, and evaluation system of this course will be decided jointly by Institute and DMAi. The course delivery and evaluation will be taken up by Institute. DMAi may arrange for experience--‐sharing sessions by industry stalwarts. On successful completion of the programme, candidates will receive a joint Diploma under the seals of Institute and DMAI.

Roles and Responsibilities of DMAi

 

DMAi shall provide the deliverables; the “Direct Marketing: Concepts and Practices” Content, for “Institute” comprise of the following:

 

The objective of these courses is to give an overview of Direct Marketing to the students.  The Chapters which can be included under these programmes are outlined in Annexure A, which will be modified / improvised from time to time keeping in line with maintaining quality standards of DM education.

 

The DMAi will provide the Institute with marketing materials relating to DMCP (in the English language), the content of which may be used by the Institute as is it sees fit to promote the DMCP.

 

DMAi may provide Guest Lectures / Assessors comprising of Industry stalwarts from time to time as it seems fit to promote DMCP.

 

DMAi will provided to the Institute Advanced DM and other Online DM Certification Programmers in collaboration with Overseas DMAs, from time to time, as an when they become available.
 

Roles and Responsibilities of Institute

 

Institute shall be responsible for promoting / marketing the DMCP and other bundled Programmes  in the regional territory through Brochures, Educational materials, Web, eMail marketing broadcasts, Social Media and other appropriate promotional channels. Marketing will be co-branded by the Institute and DMAi.

 

Institute shall manage and handle registrations and shall provide a full profile of all participants / students enrolled in each of the programme to DMAi for their records.

 

Institute will collect payments from participants and make payment to DMAi at the start of the Course.

 

Institute shall provide Classrooms keeping in line with the Programme offered and as per the time table accommodating at least 1 period each for Theory for each class per week.

 

Institute shall provided lecturers, trainers and assessors to conduct the Programme successfully.

 

At the successful completion of each Programme including evaluation DMCP Certification will be issued under the joint seals of DMAi & the Institute. The Institute will be responsible for the final design of the Certificate, which will be finalized with DMAi’s approval.

 

Institute shall provide accommodation to DMAi’s Guest Lecturers / Assessors during their visit to the Institute as and when needed.

 

 

Financial considerations

 

“Institute” shall pay DMAi a per student, per annum (PSPA) rate as mutually agreed and (Service tax shall be extra) for 12 months of the academic year, for the Certificate Course offered to their Students who have opted for specialization in Marketing.

Institute shall pay as mutually agreed for the 6 month Diploma Course ( A & B) offered to other Students.  The payment shall be made in advance per quarter. All payment shall be made favouring “Direct Marketing Association India” payable at Mumbai.  Payment detaisl of both the Courses are as outlined in Annexure C.

Students voluntarily opting for International Certification through DMAi shall be at extra cost as applicable for the respective qualification examination from the respective International Certification body to be paid by the student.
